TUGUEGARAO CITY — The local government-operated pasalubong center in Sanchez Mira, Cagayan, was destroyed as Typhoon Marce (international name: Yinxing) made its second landfall in the coastal town late Thursday evening (Nov. 7), according to the Cagayan Provincial Information Office.
Gusty winds and heavy rains battered the area, sweeping away stalls and causing significant damage.
The coastal town, home to 26,164 residents based on the 2020 Philippine Statistics Authority census, has been severely impacted by the typhoon’s onslaught, which left widespread destruction across the region. INQ
